County Health Services Agency managing director Bev Finley will be receiving
the prestigious California Hospital Association (CHA) Award of Merit on
Wednesday, December 9. The announcement and formal presentation of the award
will be made during a special luncheon at the CHA Board of Trustees meeting
in Los Angeles.
The award is the CHA's highest honor.
According to C. Duane Dauner, Finley is receiving the award in recognition
of her outstanding contributions to the health care of the people of California
and for extended service to the health care community. Dauner also added
that the award is in recognition of Finley's distinguished career in health
care, her active participation in community and professional organizations
and her demonstrated leadership and dedication.
Finley is a strong advocate of high quality community-based health care
and has participated in leadership positions with a number of organizations
including CHA, the California Association of Public Hospitals and Health
Systems and the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California (HCNCC).
