Modesto Junior College and the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency
on Saturday will hold an event aimed at bringing information to foster
parents, family caregivers and teens in foster care.
The Foster-Kinship Care Health Faire is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at
the Community Services Agency's staff training room, 251 E. Hackett Road,
Ceres. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.
Included at the fair will be information on lead poisoning, communicable
diseases, substance abuse, immunizations, blood pressure screening, chlamydia
and other medical issues. Presentations will be in English and Spanish.
Parents and guardians should bring children's yellow immunization records
for assessment.
Refreshments and lunch will be served. The event is free, but seating
is limited. To reserve a seat, call 529-6141 before 5 p.m. today.
