Health officials reported six new cases of West Nile illness in Stanislaus
County. One person was sick with the neuroinvasive form of the mosquito-borne
illness, and five had West Nile fever. The county's Health Services Agency
has confirmed 77people infected with the virus this year. San Joaquin
County reported its 33rd and 34th cases — an adult female and a
minor-age male, both with West Nile fever.
