Margaret Szczepaniak, executive director of the Stanislaus County Health
Services Agency, has accepted a job as assistant director of the health
agency in San Joaquin County.
Szczepaniak, who managed Stanislaus County health services for three years,
gave notice Tuesday in a letter to county Chief Executive Officer Rick
Robinson. She is leaving Feb. 3 and starts in San Joaquin County three
days later.
She departs as Stanislaus County is making big cuts to its health clinic
system. The director managed an agency with a budget of $100 million a
year and about 700 employees.
