County – An incorrect age was released earlier today in regard
to the three new human cases of West Nile virus.
The correct information for the three cases includes:
a 59-year old male who has West Nile fever and was not hospitalized;
(THIS CASE WAS EARLIER INCORRECTLY RELEASED BY THE STANISLAUS COUNTY HEALTH
SERVICES AGENCY AS A 60-YEAR OLD PATIENT).
a 76-year old male with West Nile fever who was not hospitalized;
a 62-year old male with West Nile neuroinvasive disease who was hospitalized,
but has been discharged from the hospital.
There are a total of five confirmed human cases of West Nile virus in
Stanislaus County.
